Black Diamond Betamid Tent

Designed for backpackers, wilderness trekkers and backcountry skiers the Betamid is a smaller, lighter version of the Megamid that’s set up using adjustable trekking or ski poles. Weighing little over one kilogram, the Betamid costs less than $100 and once set up, provides an excellent shelter for two people. That said, the Betamid isn’t like other tarp shelters that are only good for keeping the rain out it will stand up to intense weather conditions and will handle a great amount of wear and tear. Plus, an optional bathtub style detachable floor is available that keeps even more weather out and adds only 1.25 pounds.
