At 9:00PM one evening a large tree limb took out the power to my home during a strong storm. Ripping the entire electrical service off of the side of our utility pole, we were down for the count for the evening. After the power company disconnected the downed line, I set to work cutting up the large oak limb in the middle of the night. Grabbing the TikkaPlus I was able to completely disassemble the old, destroyed service and have everything ready for a trip to the hardware store in the morning. The Tikka provided a clean, white light to work by and the new swivel feature helped put the light exactly where I needed it.

Later that evening I used the Tikka Plus as a 'nite-lite', turning it on low and setting it so it provided a nice, even glow to the room. I had no fear of leaving it on through the night as I have with candles in these situations and the 5 hour burn didn't even put a dent in the battery life (150 hours on low).
