DMM:
Founded in 1981 as Moorhouse Engineering in Bethesda, soon to become DMM and move to more suitable premises in Llanberis in 1986, the company celebrated 30 years of manufacturing in 2011. In 1981 the company employed just 4 people, and now thirty years later they are an important employer in the area with just over 150 men and women on payroll.
Innovation is key to their development, and they have continually invested not just in the fabric of the factory, machinery, tooling, etc., but also in ambitious product development plans which can be very costly. However they recognized that it was not sufficient to stand still and copy, they needed to lead the field in their specialist areas, and over the years they have done just that, and all from their base in North Wales.
