Edelrid:
Edelrid has been involved in climbing equipment manufacturing for over 50 years. In 1953 Edelrid invented the modern climbing rope, the kernmantle dynamic climbing rope. Also of note in the early 70's the team at Edelrid invented the technique of using and manufacturing twin or double ropes. Both of these advances and others throughout the years have kept Edelrid on the forefront of climbing technology.
In 2005 Edelrid joined forces with Vaude and shortly after Lucky climbing from Spain. With support from Vaude, Edelrid has been on another whilrwind of development within the climbing industry.
