The Details:

The STRING serves two functions: it holds the rope end carabiner in place on the rope end of a quickdraw or sling and it protects a relatively high-wear area of the sling. The different sizes of sling are compatible with different sizes of dogbones and webbing.  For example the small string is compatable with the Ange Finnesse dogbone, The medium string is compatable with the Spirit Express dogbone, and the large and extra large strings are compatable with larger webbing and dogbones.
